Tourist and general information
Motril golf course lies on the shores of the Mediterranean and is strategically located right in the heart of Granada’s Costa Tropical. It is a level course dotted with pine trees.

Overall, not particularly difficult, except where lakes come into play. An unbelievable setting for a game of golf where you will thoroughly enjoy the contrast provided by the views of the sea and the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
The family will enjoy the beach while you play golf. Until 2005 this was a nine hole golf course but since August 2006 it has become an 18 hole course.
In prospect is the addition of a further 9 holes which combined, will effectively create two 18 hole courses.
Motril (Los Moriscos) Golf

There is an enthusiastic children's club here also. Tuition is available. In La Herradura the yacht harbour of Marina del Esté is a wonderful visit. Excellent waterside restaurants serve well prepared meals of various types from Pizza to steaks and including of course excellent Spanish cuisine. Skippered and bareboat charter is available here.
In the planning stage for 2010 is a 700 berth yachting marina for La Caleta in Salobreña.
The Parque Aquatico is open in Almuñecar from Late June until September each year providing a host of exciting rides.
The park is pleasantly landscaped and sits right on the edge of the beach at Velilla between Almuñecar and Salobreña. There are restaurants and bars within the splash park and during the height of the summer season outdoor discos are a regular feature.

The whole of the Costa Tropical is a water sports paradise. There are diving schools all along the coast but especially in La Herradura and Marina del Esté, the International Yacht Harbour.
