The long awaited indoor swimming pool is now open.
On March 1st the new indoor swimming pool was opened
Pool Opening Times
Monday, Wednesday & Friday
8.30 am to 2.30 pm and 7.45 pm to 10.20 pm
Tuesday & Thursday
10 am to 2.20 pm and 7.45 pm to 10.20 pm
Saturday 10.00 am to 2. 20 pm
Entrance for swimmers Euros 2.50 per person for 55 minutes
Various season ticket prices are available on request.
The pool at other times is reserved for local schools and swimming clubs.
Gymnasium Opening Times
Same as above
Entrance to the Gymnasium is Euros 3.00 per session
Also long awaited is the skate board park promised by Mayor Jesús Avelino Menéndez Fernández shortly after coming to office - this opened on March 15th 2007. The skate board park is located by the "Red House" just off the N340.

The Salobreña side of the bridge to Motril is now finished but theconnecting road to Motril Golf may be some time off - waiting for permission from Junta de Andalucia.

The new junction/underpass at Cemetary road and the N340 is well under way, March 26th saw the new diversion in place taking a nasty Temporarry bend out of the N340.

BERLIN CIRCUS
The weekend of April 27th saw the anual visit of the Berlin Travelling Circus.
Always poular with the young and young at heart the circus played for 4 days before moving on.
May 1st (labour day) is a major holiday weekend in Spain when many people come from the cities to the Costa. This year the holiday fell on Tuesday so a "Puenté" holiday weekend was in order.
Most visitors having taken the extra day spread the holiday from Friday to Tuesday.
