Restaurante and Bar El Peñon is set in probably the best location on Salobreña beach, right on the Peñon Rock with terrific views along the beach to La Caleta de Salobreña and to the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
There is plentiful seating inside as well as on the beach under grass shades enabling the restaurant to open all year round.
El Peñon is very popular with locals for birthday parties and other special occasions.
The menu at El Peñon is wide and varied offering a good choice for everyone.
You will be able to enjoy a good selection of seafood as well as whole shoulders of lamb cooked on the barbecue and many other meat dishes.
Children are made very welcome and children's meals are available.
"Restauranté El Peñon" is fun family place to eat but it does pay to reserve a table (or arrive early) in the summer months as the restaurant can be very busy.
After lunch the children will enjoy playing at the waters edge while mum and dad take in the atmosphere over a cup of coffee and local brandy.
