El Asador are specialists in grilled meats and fish based around an international menu.
Steaks and locally reared Alpujarra Lamb are prominent - the lamb in particular is "mouth wateringly" superb.
There is a very convivial atmosphere in the bar area where one may enjoy a variety of tapas dishes. We suggest the jacket potatoes, baked in the oven with an excellent cheese and Serrano ham topping.
Tapita always comes with beer and wines in the traditional Andalucian way.
El Asador is situated opposite Super Sol (supermarket) on the road down to the beach.
There are some excellent restaurants in and around the area catering for all tastes. Restauranté Chiringuito La Bahia is perched on the edge of the beach opposite the Peñón Rock in Salobreña.
A very popular restaurant with locals they serve a good well prepared range of dishes which include fish, seafood and meats. During the summer months the restaurant operates a "Sardine Barbecue" on the beach.
La Bahia is a long established family business catering for all tastes.
Children's meals are available - reservations are not essential but come early in the summer months to be sure of a table.

Opposite the entrance to the Golf Course at Motril Beach Roberto's Restaurant is newly opened in 2008.
On offer are Italian specialities. Roberto is quick to point out however "there are no Pizzas on offer here."
The menu is quality through and through and will appeal to those looking for something just a little bit better than the average.
Restaurante Roberto is beautifully furnished in a modern Italian way, has a very attractive bar area - meals are available at the bar - and the restaurant is to the rear.
For the summer months there is a large roof terrace overlooking the golf and the beach.

El Peñon is in the best position available on Salobreña beach being sited right on the famous Peñon Rock.
The restaurant has a wonderful array of seafood delivered fresh daily from Motril fishing port. Experienced chefs do magical things with on the barbecue and griddle with Octopus, Squid and every variety you can bring to mind.
The meat menu is a little less varied but offers whole shoulders of lamb cooked on the barbecue, superb sirloin steaks and brochetas of lamb cooked to perfection.
